    In de periode 2019-2021 hebben de Coöperatie regio Appelscha, de VTRBO/TIP en andere partijen elkaar gevonden in de gebiedsgerichte promotie en marketing van het toeristisch-recreatieve aanbod in onze gemeente. Voor de uitvoering van hun plannen heeft de coöperatie begin 2019 € 300.000 subsidie ontvangen van de gemeente.


    Van de gemeente wordt voor respectievelijk 2022 en 2023 een jaarlijkse cofinanciering van € 50.000 gevraagd. Het is de verwachting dat deze investering zich terugbetaalt door meer overnachtingen en dus meer opbrengsten toeristenbelasting, meer economische bestedingen van bezoekers in onze gemeente en meer werkgelegenheid in de toerisme-, recreatie- en horecabranche. De overige ca. 50% van de jaarlijkse conceptbegroting wordt gedekt uit bijdragen van ondernemers, opbrengsten uit exploitaties en opbrengsten uit marketing- en promotieactiviteiten.
